AF2012 becomes ALISN
In November 2007 ALISN was officially launched under the name of ‘Artists for 2012 (AF2012)’ and held a pilot show of 5 emerging artists at 491 Gallery.
For the next two years AF2012 organised a variety of shows and events in established galleries, artist-run galleries, Heathrow Terminal 5, and buildings lent for exhibitions by property developers. A decision was made in the summer of 2009 to find a name for the organisation that seemed more appropriate to the way it had been working, as well as reflecting the models of creative facilitation it had developed.
AF2012 was officially re-branded as ALISN (Artist-Led Initiatives Support Network) in August 2009.
